TN Workers' Compensation - Appeals filing fee

Parties wishing to appeal expedited hearing or compensation hearing orders now must pay a filing fee of $75. The applies to cases with dates of injury of July 1, 2014, or later that are tried in the Court of Workers' Compensation Claims. The fee must be received within 10 days of filing a notice of appeal, and it is payable at any Bureau office or by mail or other delivery method. An appealing party also can file an Affidavit of Indigency to request that the fee be waived. Failure to timely pay the filing fee or file the Affidavit of Indigency will result in dismissal of the appeal. This applies to all appeals filed on or after July 1, 2015.
